A warm sea breeze against our faces, the smell of saltwater in the air and sand between our toes…for a minute I thought we were on vacation. Well, it might as well have been, because a couple weeks ago we ventured down to the Sandbridge area of Virginia Beach for our first beach wedding with Jen and Bryan. (If you don’t remember them, we posted some shots from their engagement shoot in an earlier post.) It was an all-around great day for photography, even though it started sprinkling in the middle of the ceremony. About the time we wrapped up the service, the bottom dropped out of the sky. Luckily the rain slacked off, the sun came out and we went back down to the beach to get shots by the pier and along the shore. Congratulations Jen and Bryan! Here’s a sneak preview of what is to come…

Last week I had the chance to finally go on a summer vacation. The vacation was an awesome way to finish up the summer, and nothing better than coming back home to the start of college football. Even though Virginia Tech lost, I am still excited for the season. I was hoping to get a lot of great sunrise and sunset photos but the weather wasn’t cooperating, but I did get a few shots. Below are a few sunset pictures on the sound and a shot of the beach in the morning.
