We couldn’t have asked for a better day to shoot Eran and Justin’s wedding. It was a beautiful spring day coming off a few days of cold and rain. The setting could not have been more perfect either, taking place at the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna. The intimate ceremony took place outside on the Atrium’s terrace. The reception followed with excellent food and individual cakes at each table made by the bride and groom.
This weekend I took a break from editing wedding photos to enjoy the beautiful spring weather. The trees and flowers are in full bloom right now in my neighborhood in Reston, VA, so I got my camera out and took a few pictures. I love spring and enjoying the workmanship of God’s hands. Jen and Bryan have been great friends to me from the beginning of my life here in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, which seems so long ago (but isn’t). Bryan popped the question a while back, and I’ve wanted to do their engagement shoot for quite some time. For whatever reason, it hasn’t happened, and we knew we were shooting their wedding in May, but we never had the chance to get to the engagement shoot…until now. We had great luck with lighting and locations, plus Jen and Bryan are very easy to work with. We’re looking forward to the beach wedding, and hopefully this will wet everyone’s appetite until then…
Isabella and Doug got married in an old, beautiful church in Northeast Washington DC. After the ceremony we had the chance to take photographs near the Capital and the blooming Cherry Blossoms. The reception was very intimate and took place in the water fall room in at the 2941 restaurant in Falls Church.
